When folks travel internationally they should consider using a cheap burner phone. My personal laptop remains OEM and when in use runs a Linux USB Boot shell and I only use a VM and a VPN to step outside of Local. Persistence is left shut off so USB doesn't save anything after I shut down. Just in case they want to check the PC for anything other then simple operation there is very little to see. But it does require that everything important to me is memorized...no cheat files even on paper.
