Been stocked up since BO was in office. Roughly good for a year or more with my dry good supplies. It might be tough if fresh fruit and veggies are not available but I did purchase dehydrated ones. I have enough food to feed a number of my neighbors, too. Once we open a size #10 can there is too much for a couple of people.
Just add water (which we have plenty surrounding us with a Berkeley gravity filter if needed) and we are good to go.
Make sure you get extra filters for the Berkey.
If you have to start filtering lake/pond water the filters will probably clog up quicker then with tap water.
You could always use a big charcoal filter to pre filter before filtering through a Berkey.
Thanks I have a number in stock. But will consider using a charcoal filter prior to the Berkey for the pond water.
It’s definitely not necessary, but it’ll make sure your filters get to that 5000 gallon range before being plugged up with algae etc.
