The bridge that just collapsed in the city of Pittsburgh was set to be restored in 2016. Instead of replacing the completely rusted out supports, they used cables and diverted the money to bike lanes, green energy programs and lanes for self driving cars.

Funny part, those assholes on bikes still go on the road and sidewalks.
well the street cleaners and plows don't clear the bike paths, and bikes are supposed to 'share the road' with cars (but are not supposed to use sidewalks.)
I'm talking all year here man. Outside the city where they did this in the burbs too
