Possibly, but the location (out of state) and means (gunshot perhaps one of the messiest methods) seem odd.

I mean come on, if I was suicidal I'm guessing I'm pretty damn depressed or downtrodden and wouldn't be like, Hm, yeah, I'm gonna drive over here to McLean with this pistol, and yeah, this park looks nice... BLAMMO! I would have just done the deed in or near my house, not like MD doesn't have parks and wooded areas
