I have a friend who just returned from a 10 day trip to Montreal. He said, in speaking with the locals, that there has been a suffocating prolonged lockdown and a vax-pass for all residents and businesses along with mandatory jabs. No fuel, no food, no entertainment, no work unless jabbed. The last straw was when Canada wanted to implement a hefty fine (tax) on the unvaxed. "They" just don't know when to stop. Canadians realized that it is not about safety after all. The Canadians are a soft spoken, tolerant people, but once pushed far enough, they say NO MORE!
Has anyone else heard about the VAX TAX?
Quebec is a communist hell hole. They have the most authoritarian measures and government overreach in all of Canada.
They are proposing a tax and believe that it will survive legal disputes. It will be the straw for many people if it passes.
Let’s honk honk there too.
Montreal would be easy to shut down. A handful of bridges and a tunnel.
Those bridges and tunnel are already crumbling. They could collapse pretty easily I would think. Not suggesting to destroy infrastructure, just wouldn't want to park a ton of heavy vehicles on them...
Probably, but I know Le Pont Champlain has been rebuilt/refurbished since I left over ten years ago. Still, no one needs to actually park on the bridges.
Very true.
I dont believe the tax was implemented. But. Quebec wanted to ad a heath tax (theres already a health tax) to vaccine free ppl that use the hospital
They're going to try it, but they have to go through the legislative process because they want to get vaccine status added to the tax forms.
