Where as here in the states you have no national POLICE that does day to day policing. Sheriffs are usually your highest law enforcement position, not counting your DAs or commonwealth attorneys. Then sheriff deputies and then local agencies (city, township, village, whatever weird name your place uses)
You wont see many turn to the side of the man. A few maybe but the majority, no.
Exactly this. No one ever talks about this anyway, we already have Constituional lawmen, sheriffs, elected by the people and charged with their safety. police are paid mercenaries, beholden to whomever pays them.
Not sure if EU countries have national police or not.
I am in UK and we don't. France has "agents de police" who are locals also "gendarmes" who are national I think. Spain "Guardia Civil" who are goons, think they are national. But you can't generalise about EU.
