Canada has almost no independent media. The largest independent media organization is Rebel News, and as of last night Rebel News began working with the truckers to crowd fund lawyers for these truckers.

You need to realize that virtually all media organizations in Canada are subsidized by the Canadian government, and none of them want their meal ticket cut off, so they all toe the government line.

Rebel News takes no government funds and is also not beholden to advertisers. The downside of this model is that they are always asking their viewers for financial support.
