As a hiring manager (engineering), it is fucking crazy out there. Few candidates, and the salary expectations are breathtaking. I don't begrudge them the pay they're asking; THEY WILL GET IT. But for companies like mine that are constrained by long term rate agreements with clients, its causing a bit of trouble. As one candidate correctly summed it up: "not my problem". I LOL'd. He's right though.
