Again, I don't think Trump's statement is a direct attack on Pence. He does not rip into Pence the way he rips into Hillary, or Nancy, or Mitch.

Brent Cates has an interesting piece on Pence's options on January 6.

Most reporting makes it sound like Pence had 2 choices,

• declare Biden the victor
• declare Trump the victor

He instead allowed states to DEBATE their dueling slates of electors. He was willing to allow all states with dueling electors to do their debates.

Within MINUTES of Pence allowing states to do that, the mysterious pipe bombs appeared.

When that was not sufficiently disruptive, the protesters were then allowed into the building, which DERAILED the constitutionally allowed debates.

They then hurried the process up with their already selected Biden slates of electors.
