Texan here. That Nashville stuff is garbage. Tower of Sauron (AT&T building) looms over the city.

I hate "polished pop country crap". (song lyric from the Josh Abbott Band song "My Texas" that describes what is coming out of Nashville)

Look into some Texas Country, Red Dirt music, and Outlaw Country.

Cody Johnson, Cody Jinks (my personal favorite), Josh Abbott Band, and others.
