I'm gonna file this under "that happened". And I'm sure, everyone clapped afterwards...

Lol. You don't know any teenage girls, do you? :)
They're the biggest export from Korea. Korea made exceptions for them since the oldest were at the top age for mandatory military service. They were prepared to enter the military when politicians stepped in and declared them too important to Korea to serve right now. So, they continue on. They and their single "Butter" are featured in Samsung's commercial for the newest phone. "Army" are what their dedicated fans are called. I've seen both of their movies and from what I saw in the films some of their fans are middle aged women in LA and NYC. European and Asian fans seem to be tweens to 20-somethings (both male and female). And yes, their record label donated to BLM during the "Summer of Love". So now you know! (Pray for me! Lol My daughter told me there is another K-Pop band that is releasing a film and she wants me to take her to see it)
Wait till you learn about the child abuse in Asian countries, and specifically Korea. I grew up never knowing what my favorite bands looked like. I wish people just liked music for the sounds.
