I'd like to see a convention of the states to fix the glaring problems. At this point, we should not allow ANY of the current batch in congress to remain. Sure we would lose a few good people, But we need to remove the Uni-party, the lazy, the pussies, and those who might not be Uni-party but are greedy and self-interested.

If people succeed in getting a convention of states, can anyone guarantee 100% that the people in charge of running it can be controlled? Who can GUARANTEE they will be prevented from going off and adding ammendments that have nothing to do with the reason the convention was called in the first place? Who can stop them from going rogue and fucking the Constitution, the country, and every single one of us like what happened on January 6, 2021 when the most fraudulent election in the history of mankind was certified? Can anyone in this country GUARANTEE that nothing bad or unexpected would happen?
No. Nobody can guarantee anything, because a convention of states like this has never happened before. All previous ammendments to the Constitution have been passed using other options. Nobody has any idea whatsoever how a convention would play out or what kind of evil and corruption could make its way in to boomerang the entire process. People calling for a convention are playing with fire....no, they're playing with something much worse than fire. Think of how a bunch of evil fucks played thousands of patriots on January 6, and what is happening to those patriots, and the rest of the country, today. What's to stop them from playing all the patriots at a convention in exactly the same way? What if a convention ended up accomplishing exactly the opposite of what everybody who called for it intended? Is that a chance worth taking?
The Constitution is a sacred document, consecrated by God. If we allow it to be changed to say something different, will it still be a sacred document?
There's nothing Soros would like more than a convention of states. Progressives have been pushing for one for like 15 years or so, maybe longer. They'll use it to strip away 2a.
Here's a prime example of socialists shilling for an Art.V convention: Cenk Uyghur & Ana Kasparian/ The Young Turks/ Wolfpac [1](2nd red paragraph). They too claim Art.V convention would be only for adding amendments, but in reality it's the only way they can butcher the US Constitution.
Watch out what you ask for with a convention of states. We could lose the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
Your causes are right, however You're being led into a deathtrap. Art.V Convention 'movement' is a socialist ploy against the US Constitution.
Art.V Convention, called lately a "convention of states", is legally and historically known as a "constitutional convention"(!) and here's the proof: Black's Law Dictionary, 5th edition (1979) (SCOTUS and other fed. courts use it) [1]. Justice Antonin Scalia never supported Art.V Convention [2], but warned against it, just like J. Madison [3].
A convention of states in the future and NOT with the current people who are swampy the further up the ladder they go. The vast majority of states are conservatives.
How bills are currently proposed is a major problem and a line-item veto is not good enough. A bill should not be cluttered with add-ons. If a bill to fix bridges is proposed then it should be only dealing with bridges/ All these bills that are passed that no one has read, often no time to read needs to end.
Bills should be simpler and fully disclosed and debated on the floors of congress, and would slow down the numbers of things government is up to...
I agree. Wipe the slate clean.
So we get rid of the three branches of government and the checks and balances? Do you think statists would pass up the opportunity to end the Bill of Rights?
I don't.
