I’ve been around here for about a year now, and I have learned so much. I cannot begin to thank all of you who put so much thought, effort and time into this awakening. For the majority of my time here the focus of GAW, understandably, has been the USA (where I was born and spent the majority of my life to date); we fill pages with subjects like Trump, the 2020 election, Devolution, etc., and have great discussions. But with the events of the last several days, which have turned so much of the focus towards Canada (where I have lived now for almost 20 years), I’ve begun to realize something. It was after I read a comment here this morning pertaining to how one of Trump’s EOs plays into all the things we are seeing happen now. And I suddenly realized - it doesn’t seem as though Canada (or any other Nation, for that matter) has a “Trump”: someone who champions for their Freedoms. I guess that’s why I always thought the first “action” would come from the States. I think we were all surprised (and thrilled) about the truckers - but it doesn’t seem that there are any Canadians with clout who have their backs - no “authority figure” standing in the gap between them and the vile smears of Canadian leadership. Isn’t there anybody who isn’t completely corrupt in this country? Trudope is in extreme attack mode, and the leadership and MSM are falling right in line to disparage the truckers and those supporting them as every kind of “ist” adjective they can dream up. They have completely silenced the stated intention of the event, and the people involved. They’re calling it a “unlawful assembly” because 3 people were arrested over the weekend. How many arrests do you think they normally have on a weekend in a city as large as Ottawa? So, does anyone stand in the gap for Canada? Who do we look to when we need someone to speak out against the lies? Who do other Nations look to? I know God will stand with the righteous against these evil *#^%s, but I feel discouraged that there doesn’t seem to be a single Canadian leader who hasn’t filed into line in the parade behind the emperor who’s wearing no clothes.

This last week was the first time in a decade I’ve been proud to be Canadian. I’ve known that we were the majority and the covid/vax numbers were fabricated for political ends. But even then it’s been demoralizing and I felt alone. Seeing not just the truckers, but the support on the side of the road was everything. It felt like the spark that Canada needed. That the world needed.
There’s a massive dam of lies we’ve been told and the cracks are showing. And when it starts to fall apart, man it really falls apart.
I’ve been worried about not having a figurehead as well, but the end goal shouldn’t rely on one. The true awakening is understanding that the power is in us all standing up and putting an end to this. The convoy doesn’t have a readily identifiable public face and its arguably the most important political force in the country right now.
I agree. I feel like before the Convoy, Canadians were just hunkered down trying to keep their heads below the radar. I guess there just seems to be such a clear line drawn in the sand in the States between MAGA and the left. I haven’t had that feeling here in Canada. I believe today’s move to oust O’Toole was a direct result of the Freedom Convoy and the support shown for that movement. Hopefully the Conservatives - whoever they may turn out to be - will unite under a shared resolve to collapse this tyrannical left party and move this Country forward. Canadians have made it pretty clear they don’t want what the left is serving up.
