An appeal to Elon Musk: The RCMP has cut off cell services to disrupt trucker communications at the border. Could Starlink help them out?

I saw a recent video from Coutts where they said the issue was that internet connection in that sparsely populated area was not designed to handle so many connections at the same time. So it could be spotty. They DID NOT say that the RCMP have disabled all the cell towers.
Anyway, what is the obsession with Elon Musk? This meme makes it out as if he is some kind of saviour, some kind of Moses type. I remember him pushing the global warming scam and pumping his bs car company into the stratosphere based on YOUR tax dollars and perpetuating lies about CO2. He is making money off pumping stocks and milking your tax dollars while you are sitting there fawning all over him for lying to your face.
100 Percent. I don't get all the Elon fellating going down around here. Apparently we are getting selective with which globalists are acceptable based on their ability to shitpost.
It's probably shilling if we're all noticing this trend.
Exactly. I think the issue is a lot of people are just coming here from p win because it's becoming clear as ever it isn't what it used to be. We need to teach these newbies to teach themselves.
Uh... He has the satellites. The end
Uh... actually there is a whole bunch of competing satellite internet constellations. Why not appeal to Jeff Bezos for help?
Oh...and actually, did the RCMP cut off cell services? Well, no.
This meme is free marketing for the richest man in the world.
It was a rhetorical question to show how strange it is to appeal to Elon Musk for help.
I mean the guy is running Neuralink: a way to connect people's brains directly to the internet. I thought that was one of the things we were afraid that the vaccines would do...
True, Musk is a demon and many are falling for it.
He's a business man using the tools available to maximize profits. He is not helping himself by speaking out against the Biden government the way he has been, since he has to deal with their regulators, not the least the environmental assessment being done for his Starship launch site. For this reason, I tend to think he's one of the good guys if not perfect.
He has nothing to gain by supporting a sinking ship (Biden). That is why he is whitewashing his image now, trying desperately to step away from the Co2-fear mongering he used to do before the climategate finally explodes. Then he will be like "oh, electric cars is just a choice of fuel type...I never tried to "save the world" and it wasn't my fault that governments wanted to subsidize my vehicles".
This is ice cold money calculations the whole way. Just fake behind fake behind fake behind gaslighting.
No. Grew up around there. Alberta is Telus country. Excellent network, designed for the farmers. High speeds. Coverage everywhere.
I can see where spotty connections combined with an overload of people would be the issue. I remember several years ago going out on the Friday after Thanksgiving to downtown SF. We all got separated and no one could get through to each other on the phones. Too many people using the network.
The overloaded cell tower thing happened in DC on Jan 6. At first thought we were getting jammed at the Capitol building until a guy a few feet away from me on the lawn somehow got an incoming call.
Here is the video I was referencing. Live streamed from Coutts only 16 hours ago: https://www.facebook.com/watch/live/?ref=watch_permalink&v=1026982568029966
Sorry for the fagbook link, but it was too big of a file to upload to catbox as it was a 20min stream.
Well, he does have a spare 10m lying around to help get thru the wait on Gofund me lawsuits.
That's pretty short sighted mate.
You could insert every single business tycoon of the past 50 years into that paragraph.
It's more nuanced than that
That is not true. There are plenty of business people who made money without being two-faced liars, and without basing their entire business upon government subsidies. Perhaps not that many on the top top richest list, because at that level, you simply have to be in bed with all sorts of bad people to even get there.
Elon even got a kid with Grimes...and she publicly sold her soul.
More than you know have benefited from how the system is setup. Even squeaky clean have benefited from corrupt law. Does that make them corrupt?
But it's admittedly a bit of hyperbole on my part.
But my point still stands. There are good business people who used the system as it exists. It doesn't make them evil.
I'm musk's case, as I've said, he's a wildcard meaning he could obliterate mankind or he could save them.
We're in no position to refuse help from someone so influential. You can of course proceed with caution.
I am still on the fence, observing. It's entirely possible he's doing some of things he's doing as part of a bigger plan, or doing his own thing. If you've read Atlas Shrugged (if not stop right now as this is a decent spoiler), some of his behaviors are rather similar to Francisco's. I say it's a long shot but it could get interesting.
I'm always open to long shots. Another one is that Elon is some sort of front for a secret part of the US military. A cover for production of a fleet of secret anti-gravity ships perhaps?
Anyway, just brought it up since we were talking long shots...
Wild/weird. My comment seems to have vanished (and I don't see anything in mod logs about it). I only know about this reply from my alerts.... I'm just filing as "bug" and moving on LOL.
