No disaagreement on Alitalia level of seriousness, it showed in the cabin crew but I liked that. As far as bag loss & missed flights, flew them for nearly 10 years back & forth to Italy; Milan without mishap. If I had trouble it was on the regional either heading to Ancona or back to Milan. They managed a level of unseriousness waaaay below Alitalia.
I once took a flight from LCY to LIN (a flight I took several times a quarter, for a while there), and we had a near miss due to fog. I think the truth of that is that we almost had a mid-air collision right over the runway. Lol.
So then they decided we're going to MXP. We go there and land. But then are told they don't have a mobile stairway for us to get off the plane. As they say this, the mobile stairway is approaching the plane, and docks. We are informed that we can't exit the plane and that we're all going back to LIN. After waiting about 45 minutes the Italians just stand up and start marching off the plane, and the flight attendant didn't even try to stop them aside from trying to shame them.
Total clown show.
So I left with the Italians. Lol. The fag Brits stayed on the plane. Lol #2.
Geez, never anything that bad except deplaning once at Heathrow during gale force horizontal rainfall . Then take bus to the terminal where I got soaked a second time going in. Get to "hotel" with the worst shower in England, tepid water at 2PSI. Also was worst international trip ever, back home about 36H after I left, sick of course.
Haha. I was almost carted off to Yugoslavia prison once. Well, ok, twice (two different occasions). I was almost gang attacked in Marrakech (like 15 dudes), and same in an alley in Amsterdam (like 4 dudes). I was almost kidnapped in Brasil and have many examples of attempted robberies there. Was carjacked at gunpoint in São Paulo once. Plenty of super-sketchy moments in Mexico as well.
Other countries I get but Amsrterdam lol, what were you doing speaking in Walloon? Neder & Scandi stuff was tame to the point of boring the few times I went.
