Big Pharma and mainstream media are largely owned by two asset management firms: BlackRock and Vanguard. Drug companies are driving COVID-19 responses — all of which, so far, have endangered rather than optimized public health — and mainstream media have been willing accomplices in spreading their propaganda, a false official narrative that leads the public astray and fosters fear based on lies. Vanguard and BlackRock are the top two owners of Time Warner, Comcast, Disney and News Corp, four of the six media companies that control more than 90% of the U.S. media landscape. BlackRock and Vanguard form a secret monopoly that own just about everything else you can think of too. In all, they have ownership in 1,600 American firms, which in 2015 had combined revenues of $9.1 trillion. When you add in the third-largest global owner, State Street, their combined ownership encompasses nearly 90% of all S&P 500 firms. Vanguard is the largest shareholder of BlackRock. Vanguard itself, on the other hand, has a unique structure that makes its ownership more difficult to discern, but many of the oldest, richest families in the world can be linked to Vanguard funds.

True, but those the manage the money are the ones in control. Our country is filled full of decent and good people. The people running the show are the current administration (theoretically). The bad people that run an organization can perform massive damage, even if they represent nothing but good people. The problem with these large funds is who is in control and what they do once they have that leverage. If they were reasonable people, the media wouldn't be full of propaganda and bullshit, if they own majority stake in Big Pharma, they control how those companies function and what direction they take. The evidence is in how the companies they own operate. The companies are majority owned by the funds, ergo the funds control the company. Whoever controls the funds calls the shots. Still think because they are doing it with our money, it means they are benign and carry no authority or responsibility? I certainly don't think so.
Pfft normie.
You will get downvoted but you are 100% correct.
It’s actually much more blasé. It’s not even people making decisions for 95% of these funds. It’s a stated objective and then it’s just math. Passive is almost too aggressive of a word.
A fund that owns 51% stock in a company is a majority stakeholder. If you don't believe that they have representation in the board, well i guess you must know more than me.
LOL no different than the mob putting union pension money to work for their own interests. Grow up.
Who built Vegas and who's pension funds did they use to front the cash? $tudy history my friend
Perfectly said. The way some of the people on this site pretend to know things is just silly.
