If the names of the Maxwell coconspirators were released to the public, the defense attorneys would argue that their clients would never be able to get a fair trial because they were already found guilty in a court of public opinion, therefor a jury pool would be tainted.
Perhaps this is why the Maxwell judge agreed to release the names and why Maxwell decided she would not any longer fight the release. It could have had serious ramifications going forward with defense lawyers arguing their clients would never get a fair trial.
