Since you sorta brought it up. I just don’t understand why every month is a celebration of (blank) history. In one corner you got the people that don’t want to know about history. They want to erase history. Take down statues, not just confederate. I’m not an expert but I keep hearing the real history isn’t taught in schools. I’ve talked to some teens in high school in conversation & they don’t know US or world history. I know the school system is broken. The kids I was talking to were in Christian school. If you have a kid teach them about history on their level. Teach them about all races.m & all classes of race, about each era. Some people don’t know about class system. India still has a class system. I’m America or other countries modern to her might not use the word but it exist! Just in a different way. I learned the important people & events in history. I had a great teacher and it peaked my interest. In my 50s I’m still learning about every race, culture & era. I’m not saying I’m against dedicated a month to a race. Honestly it doesn’t seem balanced. I never hear about Polynesian month, Native American month, etc. I’m sure I’m leaving some out.
