twitter just shadowbanned the tweet - when i clicked on it - the quoted tweet said this tweet was unavailable but i could click on the Probo link and it took me to the tweet which was still up.
The tweet is fine and viewable from both the quote thread and the original thread. So unless Twitter decided "hey, you know what, let's unshadowban this tweet so everyone can see the CCP hauling news reporters off to who knows where" then the tweet wasn't shadowbanned.
Sometimes there's actually just an error. People really need to stop immediately jumping to "muh shadowbanned" or "already taken down/deleted" when something doesn't work. Almost every one of these kinds of threads I see has at least one person claiming the video or tweet was taken down, meanwhile, at least the majority of the time in my experience, the content is up and perfectly viewable. I find it hard to believe that a majority of these videos or tweets people post all get taken down and then YouTube/Twitter/whoever just decide to put them all back up within the span of an hour or two.
Stuff absolutely gets taken down and shadowbanned, but we should at the very least be trying to verify if that's actually what happened before declaring it is as fact. Otherwise, we're the ones spreading false information, and, on top of that, when they do actually shadowban something we'll simply be the boy who cried wolf.
