The intelligence, prosperity, knowledge and freedom that had been hypothesized turned out to be a game of mirrors. The conclusion after 30 years of the Internet is clear! The web has become our prison. The Internet is the tool that made globalism possible. It was a mass control project ... not liberation. Looking back over the last few years it is absurd that only a few have noticed how much everyday life was changing. It seems that the Internet has opened the door to falsehood and stupidity, to mass propaganda and psychosis, to cognitive dissonance and ignorance. We have put too much power into the hands of corporations and governments to hope they would not use it against us. The Internet as it has been developed represents the greatest threat to mankind and the advent of Artificial Intelligence will contribute to the digital slavery into which we have fallen.

100 %. I was there for the old days of Napster and wild west blogging and then watched as the walled gardens started and everyone was hearded to Twtr/Youtube (by financial incentive) and facebook.
I watched as Youtube turned from all the results being peeps at home or johnny on the spot, into Network News feeds and pimped content.
Anyway, fuck all that. My seedbox out of the Netherlands puts Netflix/disney/Hulu/Stan/Steam(games) to fucking shame for $10 per month so they have not seen a cent from me for 10 years, so it is what you make it.
Imagine paying for digital content (apart from multiplayer games you want to play online) in todays day and age. Fucking normies and their netflix.
