I am a 1972 graduate of the Psycho-Cybernetics course.
I was enrolled in the course by my mother, who also enrolled herself, my sister and brother. Mom was a forward thinker, ahead of her time in many ways. It was during the summer between my junior and senior year of high school. I really didn't want to be there when I could instead be out having fun with my other teenage friends.
Following that course, over the subsequent months, the four of us enrolled in additional training, including the full Silva Mind Control program and then a follow-up Universal Communications training program. When not in class, my family and I practiced the techniques at any opportunity. We bought our own bio-feedback brainwave contraption which we used to train ourselves in meditation.
Even though I resisted being there, the teachings were not lost on my unfilled, young brain, and I had to admit that I saw the utility of the concepts, finding myself using the techniques regularly afterwards to embolden myself with positive affirmations, utilize the memory techniques to ace school tests and amaze my friends at parties with my ability to remember names and faces of new acquaintances.
I learned how to cleanse my aura, how to create mental imagery to manifest my destiny and control my thoughts and actions. I remember the taped notes on the bathroom mirror and refrigerator with positive affirmations and the removal of all ‘negative’ words from our vocabulary. Ah! Those were the days.
I can say for certain I have used the techniques ever since, which has been quite useful.
