Another tactic to try en masse is to use privacy laws against them. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to make them delete all your information or at least the right to request they reveal all your personal information they have stored about you. Thousands of these requests would be rather inconvenient but they are bound to comply with whatever laws are there.
