It's unfortunate but not sure why she didn't go elsewhere. I am a groomsman for a wedding next month I can't attend since they are requiring everyone to be jabbed to attend. My friend asked me if there was anything he could do to change my decision and I said nope I'm good.
Probably the toughest thing I've personally had to deal with being a jab free so far but it's relatively minor compared to others.
It shouldn't be tough for you. Freedom of choice on vaccinations, freedom to keep your heart clear of inconsistencies from the jab. These people that say to you "Get the jab or you can't come to the wedding" are the ones that put you in this spot. I would have loved to have used this excuse to get out of going to weddings or family functions before. Once their health starts deteriorating, then I would say "It's probably because you got the shot."
It wasn't tough to not go. It's just the toughest/worst adverse thing that ive encountered since these mandates and restrictions have staeted. My best friend is also a groomsman and he said it sucks I won't be there. I just told him it's fine it is disappointing to not be there to celebrate with them, but the disappointment i feel will pale in comparison to what our friend will feel down the road knowing he didn't have me there for such a silly reason.
I’m getting married next month, and keep begging my fiancé to make the wedding jab-free, meaning if you’re jabbed you can’t go. She doesn’t like that idea lol I told her if she even thinks about covid restrictions at the wedding I won’t be getting married
However, it is very clear we are both very strong “anti-maskers” and masks will not be allowed to be worn at the wedding
