I love the smell of diesel in the morning.
Smells like... winning.
I love the smell of burning commies in the morning. Smells like... cat piss, soy, and lentils.
THIS. And it's always when Comrade Soapy hasn't been by in a couple weeks.
No, I love Patchouli😁
Napalm is just diesel with an additive.
Styrofoam
I think laundry soap powder & diesel does the trick?
Technically, it's JP-5 (military grade jet fuel) with a type of styrofoam pellet we use now.
But gasoline and Tide powder detergent works, too. But it's highly unstable and I don't recommend messing with it. If you get the mixture wrong, it either won't light, or it will light and basically kill you. It's also highly caustic to human skin, and there isn't a glove or respirator out on the market for civilian use that will keep your skin and lungs safe, so again, I don't recommend messing with it.
And I'm not saying that because I'm afraid of the govt, I'm saying this because I've made it before, in the Navy. Trust me, you don't want to fuck around with this stuff. One wrong move, and you die. If the vapor fumes don't overwhelm you, getting the mixture wrong will.
Diesel has a high AF flash point, roughly around 1000°F. Same with jet fuel (JP-5) which is used in our military aircraft. JP-4 isn't used anymore because it was determined to be too unstable (would light easily with a small spark when mixing) during Vietnam. We lost a lot of guys just making napalm over there. We lost guys just refueling aircraft, too. It can't be shipped because of it's volatility, and once it's mixed, it has to be used within 48 hrs or it won't work right. It degrades and basically goes inert.
Very interesting. Yeah I’ve crawled in many a Boeing fuel tank changing Fuel Quantity probes. Lovely what it does to your skin 🤢
Mixing it up was an awful job, we used JP1 aviation fuel and polystyrene granules.
Fill a 44 gallon oil drum 2/3rds full of gas and stir it up with granules in until you can't get anymore in. On a hot day on a carrier flight deck with all your idiot shipmates standing around laughing at you.
WOW. Glad you weren’t injured?!
