If you knew ANYTHING you would be trying to explain it to me---but your idea of "learning" is to spout drivel that can never be found in a reference work. I suspect you have no degrees in any scientific subject, or you would have been sure to mention them. It is nice that you were a photographer, but your ignorance of atmospheric refraction phenomena tends to put you in the amateur category. You don't like mirages. It is almost like you detest their existence, because they symbolize a threat to your view of the world. You can't accept that they exist, and when they do, you want to make them mean something else completely different. (Reddit is not calling. The phone is silent.
