It took several generations to regain the human and financial losses of the Civil war, not to mention the multi-generational psychological affect on the nation. Only doomers encourage Civil War. I don't believe our nation could withstand it and no patriot would ever want to even entertain it.
I've visted Gettysburg several times and you can feel the death in the soil. It's nothing like sending our boys to fight on foreign soil, the boys were fighting their own kin, on their own land. Devestaing in so many way, it cannot and will not happen again.
