I was there last weekend and this... I am about a 6 hour drive from Ottawa and a group of 6 of us have been here handing out food, hygiene supplies, and hugs to all the truckers. There a day long dance parties at 5 different intersections. Music varies from polkas to rave.
There is not a bit of trash on the ground to be seen. None of us wear masks at the hotels and restaurants despite mandates. A few restaurants have waved mandates so we go to those. The group is every age and race and economic back ground. They have got the trucks split up in different groups all over the city to prevent the optics of how many are actually there.
There are street hockey games all over playing for the Freedom Cup made out of several pieces of tin trash cans put together to look like the Stanley Cup. There is more support and an even bigger crowd this weekend. We are heading down shortly for the open air church service this morning. Freedom has risen in this country and we are done. It is a beautiful thing.
Pictures and videos don't do it justice. I went from Langley to Vancouver. What a drive. Everyone smiling, Canadian flags everywhere, people smiling and waving. A few US flags, some polish.
The majority of the counter protestors were purple haired individuals filled with hate. So many beautiful families out together. Ethnicity mix was about par for everything else in BC. This is no fringe minority. I'd say a good quarter of the vehicles had signs saying media is the virus.
I was getting pretty blackpilled to be honest and I thought, maybe this time Canadians won't wake up. I was wrong. I might not be in uniform but I stood for my country today. I didn't stand by myself and it felt wonderful.
