That's what I was thinking. Getting fired should be the least of their worries. Depending on the level of involvement, punishment should include job loss, jail time, losing the ability to hold any position of trust ever again, loss of any and all professional certification and educational degrees, loss of assets, execution and whatever else might be deemed appropriate. None of these people should ever be in a position to effect, or influence, public policy ever again.
