Went to jury duty today. I was asked if I had a mask. I said no why. She gave me a mask and said it was required. I asked who was requiring it. She said the Judge. I then asked if he was a state official. She then stated that they were going by different guidelines without explanation what that was. After initially sitting there listening to the weak minded judge give a lame excuse why he was requiring masks, a court clerk then offered face shields for those that didn't want the masks. Out of about 120 potential jurors, I was literally the only one that got up to get a face shield.
I felt like I was in a room full of lemmings. It made me feel so angry and sad at the same time.

I had jury duty 2 weeks ago. I had to fill out several forms about if I had covid or not. I just lied and said I did. Ended up not being chosen lol
Otherwise I’d have said I dislike “insert race here” and I’d be outta there.
Sadly, I think your name will just get recycled and you'll get called again at a later date. :-S The best way to get out of being on a jury (if you seek to do so) is act all eager-beaver that you WANT to be a juror. You'll be one of the prospective jurors who gets struck by both sides. I've wanted to be on a jury and said so - they always nix me because of that.
I'd just go in and say "I hate trannies and think pedophiles should be executed immediately." or "I deeply believe in the Constitution and Bill of Rights as written and will call up EVERY SINGLE infraction upon these documents." NEVER get called up again!
It’s almost like Congress, “You have to consent to our mask wearing policy before you can read it.”
That's totally illegal. Gov. Abbott's EO specifically states that no govt. entity or building is allowed to require masks. A courtroom would fall under that category for sure!

Misleading title. EO may have teeth if you stand up and say masks don't work and face shields are stupid. If you are challenged say you will call office of Gov to find out. We are the POWER. but not it we sit down
What type of mask did they provide? Hope it was a N95 because as you know the CDC is now saying the other kinds are not effective against COVID-19 (and never were). kek
And did you get to keep your face shield? If they have the quality ones, they're good for using while using your cutting torch. Don't throw it out!
You should find out whom to file a complaint against this judge.
My Wife is a lawyer in Texas, is in court quite often. She says that a Judges court room his/her own little kingdom, and they can do any Damn thing they want.
I wonder when someone is physically affected by a mask if they can go after the judges public official bond?
Don't know the answer to that.
I was summoned to jury duty. No where on the summons did it say I would need to mask. It wasn’t until the day before when calling in to see if I had to report, did they say I would be required to mask. Fortunately, I never had to go in the entire week, because I would have told them no to masks.
