Germicidal UV is blue. When UV lights are purple (black lights) it’s because most of the light is being filtered out. Seems like the game even follows this logic because the lights I see in screenshots are blue, not purple.
UV does not penetrate skin. It would not even penetrate clothing. It is used to sterilize surfaces. It would never have any effect on anyone who has already contracted a germ. This is why there are talks of IV UV treatments.
