I was thinking the same thing. Now one (by no one I mean majority of people) pays attn to mayoral races
I’m sure if you go to Austin Tx it’s the same thing. Deep blue cities.
It's not fair to compare it to austin though. It's way smaller with a massive sub-urban sprawl. And like I said, all transplants. Everyone brought their shitty politics and the invasion from Puerto Rico and new York had been happening for over a decade by the time 2020 rolled around. It was to staff the ungodly amount of tourist attractions we have here. Now we are a city of debt slaves and disney servants who vote the way disney tells them to vote. As if it ever mattered but yeah.
There's way more to Orlando's story than "big blue city". It was artificially turned blue by massive entertainment juggernauts. Not by hipster word of mouth.
also has disneyworld there too..so maybe thats the thread that ties them together
not trynna be mean, but all you had to do was read one more sentence beyond the third one.
Orlando is a very close neighbor to Broward and Palm beach counties. These counties are between Orange(orlando) and Dade(miami). Broward is the birthplace of "election irregularities" and Palm Beach is the corruption capital of the country.
Despite this Florida has remained red. There is a very unnatural flow to the "political map" of Florida.
I don’t understand what you mean. I did read what you wrote. Did what I say about Disney contradict what you said?
Edit: I misunderstood you. I thought you said Austin had a lot of Disney employees
