I slapped on a Duragesic patch once after surgery... I was in excruciating pain.
About 20 minutes later, I told my wife I felt fine and was going to drive into work.
She reminded me I had taken a week off for recovery, and it suddenly dawned on me I was on no condition to drive... LOL
It didn't just lessen the pain. It was literally just gone. Godlike pain relief.
I took the patch off after 48 hours because I was tired of feeling high... By then the pain was manageable. I experienced flu like symptoms due to mild physical dependence... After two days! I threw away the remaining 4 patches.
And this was 25mcg/hr
It's 'God' in chemical form when you need pain relief. And I'd bet it's 'the devil' in chemical form if you use it for recreational purposes.
Opiates aren't my drug of choice (my vice is booze), but if you like hydros, oxys, and H, I recommend to avoid this one.
If not prescribed you only use fentynal once recreationally. The addiction happens pretty fast a d many who are prescribed never get off the shit. I found more than a few bodies of overdosed people when I was law. Most of them had prescriptions. I personally will never put opioid in my body. There are safer ways to treat pain.
What blew my mind (once I realized how strong it was) was that the doctor prescribed 5 of them. 5!! That's a 15 day supply! And I was mostly pain free by day two. I couldn't believe that I had symptoms of withdrawal after two days, but I did. That's why I threw the rest away.
It's an amazing pain reliever but man... Gotta be careful with that stuff. I can't imagine how hard it would be to withdraw from fentanyl if you'd been using it recreationally for months or years. It must seem impossible.
Drugs, like guns. They're a tool. Don't misuse them.
Fentanyl is an amazing drug.
