The DS certainly didn't want him as Trump's national security advisor. That's usually a good indication of whether a white hat or black hat.

Winner. Is he perfect? No, but he is a threat to the deep state and they wanted him neutralized.

We will have to see how it all plays out, but I don’t think he is 100% deep state. Why would Trump pardon him?
