All of a sudden, change the demands. Instead of lifting mandates, demand massive reform to the political system, starting with term limits, recall provisions (not really a thing yet in Canada), automatic and meaningful punishments for ethics violations, transparency with politicians' finances and dealings with lobbyists, eliminating NDAs and secret deals with corporations other than for defence, fines or resignations for politicians who break campaign promises or create a law found to be unconstitutional, etc. Mandates won't even survive under such circumstances, so an even bigger win for the people.

I agree with most of what you said, but resignation for breaking promises shouldn't be a must have, it's what allows us as ppl to distinguish if they're doing a good job or not. Also sometimes compromises need to be made (hopefully for the better but we've seen what's happened) just trying to break group think here
