The damned time line is completely fubar now.
In the report I am writing, I used the line "Drive by fruiting" from Ms. Doubtfire. I went to go find a clip of it so I could include it, but apparently it's now "Run by fruiting."
This time shift had better be worth it.
That makes (1) really hard to justify. I doubt they came into your house and replaced your 1960s monopoly board.
Timeline swapping is actually more plausible haha.
I suppose I must admit that it could be some sort of mis-association thing, but it's just too convenient. I remember some of these things as clear as any other memory. There is just no way that all of these "mis-memories" are shared in the way they are by all of us having the same "mis-association." There is just too much fuckery to buy something like that.
The weird thing is though, if someone went back and changed history, it should be that our memories were changed right along with it. If time travel is the answer, this suggests that our minds, or that which makes us, us, is not linked to time in the same way as the rest of the physical world. This presents some problems, although possibly also a path to a solution for others.
Like what is mind/soul? What is the physical world? Why are they not directly linked together? What is the boundary?
However, the knowledge that they aren't linked would provide direction to long standing questions about the physical world. Notably that the physical universe is not the universe as we conceive of it (all which is); that there must be other layers to That Which Is, and our minds are a part of some other layer. Also, there must be at least some hierarchy of "realness" (dimensions/planes?) that transcends our concepts of what time is (linear) if our minds remember things that the physical world does not.
For some reason this is starting to remind me of Dark City (where they would come into your house and replace your monopoly board, but the "jab" for that day was deficient). I should rewatch that.
Unless that no longer exists?
lol
What does that say about today when the most feasible answer is also the most "out there" answer? Kek!
Perhaps when all of the possible timelines converged into the single timeline we're all currently on, we all got shifted over from our original timeline(s) to this one. LOL! Who knows?
When I first got wind of the Mandella effect, I remembered it differently from the main group that experienced it:
I knew Mandella had gotten out of prison, but then some years later I heard that he'd died. Okay, he had a long run. No surprises there.
Out of the blue one day, I overheard some news regarding Mandella and he was still very much alive. It stuck in my head because I was really puzzled. I thought he had already died. I filed it away and didn't think much of it. Then, Mandella dies in 2013.
Go figure.
FWIW: I can still see that banker with a monocle in one eye and the string on it dangling down -- and it wasn't that dang peanut dude.
