A little misleading — if you read the whole article it seems to have little to do with it being affordable housing, and everything to do with any residential development zoned too close to his farm.
The idea its for low-income housing is BS. Its for a massive, upper-class development. The average person in that town wont be able to afford to live in this proposed project and will cause a huge population spike of "outsiders". This is not a project for locals and will drive up taxes on them.
$300k for a single family home is pretty much standard for Ohio, outside of dying cities like Akron and Toledo. The problem is they got it zoned for subdivisions then turned around and said we are going to do 1/10th subdivision and the rest absurdly overpriced "luxury" apartments. These apartments are renting out before they are even built so it's a much higher return for the developer than selling a lot for a house once.
Oh we need him in California badly then if he’s willing to stick his neck out there!! Gavin NewScum is straight trying to say any nice family home plots that come open by sale or destruction in nice hoods gots to become “affordable housing”. So they can mix in and get that equity pie none of the rest of us got, while brining down your home’s value. I feel for you Ohio. How we in Cali know how that is.
