They were exchanging words in each other’s ears. I definitely did not see an attempted kiss.

As for the hands, that’s a stretch for me. He talks with his hands, and does those big gestures consistently, whether someone is next to him or not. Doubt it was intentional.

He’s young and enthusiastic and appears to be excited to campaign with Trump. He may have played a little dirty leading up to the caucus, but that’s politics, and in the end, Trump benefitted.

Time will tell if he’s legit. I certainly hope he is, because he would be great asset for the country. But with his recent past, it’s still too early to tell.

🤷‍♂️ Time will reveal all.

I really like the suggestion of placing him as press secretary.

He gets massive exposure to the American people while delivering deathblows to corporate reporters, helping Trump and positioning himself for a successful 2028 bid.

A long way out, certainly, and we still have the problem of election fraud which I haven’t seen any significant improvement to since 2020.

But it is fun to think about.

Perhaps.

But you can also look at it as Vivek was Trump’s stand-in at the debates, and to be fair, did a better job than Trump could have done.

I’m not sold on Vivek yet either, but as it stands currently, he has only helped Trump’s campaign.

And it still won’t work. Vivek + Trump puts him at a 20 point lead over Haley + DeSantis.

Iowa caucus isn’t everything, but that was definitely everything for DeSantis. He put all of his eggs in the Iowa basket. If he drops, I think most of his supporters would vote Haley just to spite Trump, and go with RFK in the general.

But even still, Trump has it in the bag, as long as he doesn’t do something insane like offer Haley the VP spot.

The real fight will be at the polls during the general election, and fighting like never before against the fraud.

Agreed. I didn’t expect this, because the last couple weeks he was looking more and more like a plant to steal votes from Trump. But this move definitely shifts my view back to “unknown” for him, which is better than it was earlier today.

He made some slimy moves pre-caucus, but maybe he is legit, and is evolving from his shady past?

Time will tell.

It’s true, but Twitter is pretty good at cross-exposure for tweets.

For example, this showed up in my feed, but I do not follow him, Vivek, or anyone Vivek-related.

I don’t disagree, but I don’t think it has anything to do with being Indian, since most Indians from India I meet are very pro-Trump, as most Indians tend towards the same nationalist/populist mindset.

Probably more to do with indoctrination in the West than anything else.

This is not my poll, FYI. Just one where the results were surprisingly in favor of Vivek, compared to just about everyone other poll I’ve come across in the last couple months.

I do think Trump’s most recent post calling out Vivek may end up hurting him, but I hope I’m wrong.

Sorry, I operate under the belief that Trump is a human agent for good, not that he is the literal second coming of Jesus Christ who is perfect in every way. 🙄

KeepForgetting_PW 1 point ago +1 / -0

Perhaps.

Hopefully it plays out for the best, but it seems that forcing him into his bluff to save a future political career would have been much more advantageous for Trump, and wouldn’t have pushed a lot of voters to the other side.

Great, so once that’s proven publicly, after he’s been dead for years, he can be tried for his crimes. 🙄

But even if I that is true, being president shouldn’t give you legal immunity. It should make you even more susceptible to legal scrutiny if anything.

Legal immunity only appeals to criminals.

This feels way more like a big L for the country.

Getting s/elected shouldn’t put you above the law.

The message is always more important than the messenger.

I mean… they already can… so why dismiss a potentially great candidate on that basis?

AFAIK, the most stringent requirement is that the candidate is a natural born citizen (which he is) and both parents are/were citizens (which I presume they are, but I haven’t looked into it). Obama did not meet this requirement, even if his birth certificate was authentic.

Were Vivek’s parents here on immigration visas? If so, then your problem is only with a timeline of a few years, which is a pretty weird thing to be hung up on.

I agree, but this doesn’t matter so much.

Let’s assume he is a grifter. It will become pretty apparent with time, so best case scenario, he prevents a second Trump term. But that’s it. His base is gone, because they’re on the small-government, America first train now and will dismiss him.

Unlike the Left, the Right holds onto ideas and values much more than personalities.

So no second Trump term. But meanwhile he exposed swaths of people to maga ideology who maybe would have never accepted it because they didn’t like Trump’s rhetoric, growing the “great awakening” which would allow for another white hat to pick up an enormous support, especially after being cheated out of several elections.

That’s not a trade that favors globalists.

“Anchor babies” apply to ILLEGAL immigrants who have a child in the US to gain citizenship.

Were Vivek’s parents not legal immigrants when they had him?

This is the wrong way to think.

Politicians are successful through rhetoric, and that’s often the only part anyone hears. They don’t research candidates, and Vivek’s talking points have been a MAGA/Libertarian’s wet dream lately.

Is he sincere? Only he and God know, but time will reveal it.

The message is great, and I’m happy to see so many people who were maybe turned off by Trump’s rhetoric resonating with the same message from a different messenger.

In the end, what matters is “the great awakening” not who is president for a short period of time. The latter is an effect of the former, and will always self-correct.

It doesn’t surprise me. Intellectual conservatives are drawn to Vivek because his talking points are 🔥🔥🔥

The question just comes down to whether or not he is who he claims to be, and while I remain skeptical of his authenticity, I do not doubt it.

It’s all a win for maga, and it all serves the same movement, until and unless Vivek purposefully stays in the primaries long enough to ensure a split vote goes to Haley or DeSantis.

My hope is after the first few polls, unless he’s way up there with Trump, he’ll drop out and back Trump, and look ahead to a VP seat and/or 2028 run.

Time will tell, but there’s no need to view those who prefer Vivek’s rhetoric to Trump’s as leaving the maga camp… it’s all the same message told in different ways that appeal to different voters.

Pray that Vivek backs up his words with action.

I am not a Vivek fan, but appreciate him calling out the truth.

That said, those calling him “Obama 2.0”, I have to assume were not around in 2007. Their campaigns, talking points, and demeanors are NOTHING alike.

If you believe that money will have any impact on reducing terrorism, and isn’t just going to line the pockets of corrupt politicians at home and abroad, it may be a useful exercise to actually follow that money trail.

Boy, I’ve never been so conflicted on a bill like this.

On the one hand, I don’t want to fund foreign wars for corrupt governments. But on the other hand, I really, really, really dislike the IRS.
