So I don't understand HOW a solar storm could cause a satellite to plunge to Earth. A solar flare has EMP properties, I know, but does it also have PHYSICAL properties? Energy is in one form, matter is another form.... so how does an energy wave have any effect on a physical object?
EDIT: OK, just re-read the article and see how the storm increased the heat of the atmosphere, which in turn caused more drag for Musk's low-orbit satellites. Hmmmm, OK, plausible I guess.
