These stories about people being tried and hanged at Gitmo come from realrawnews.com. Which is purposely (as I understand it) made to look extra crazy so people like the posters here can dismiss it as untrue. I believe realrawnews itself says that it is a parody site.

OK, so even though these allegations seem crazy. could any of them be true? I am very skeptical and don't ever pass these tidbits along. OTOH I am mindful of the fact that nobody really knows what is going on behind the scenes. Or why. Who knows - perhaps realrawnews is a white hat op and the stories, though untrue right now, are specifically concocted to frighten those people who might be on the list to be tried and executed at Gitmo in the future. Scared people make mistakes. If I were someone who is or was a higher up in the gov't who committed treasonous acts, seeing a story about my trial and execution at Gitmo would make me very nervous. Who knows what I might do to calm my fears.
