That's the scariest part. Since 2016 I have found much to my disgust that a few people fooled me. It is only prayer and our own personal relationship with Jesus, not church, that will give us the discernment when faced with someone being set apart as the anti-christ will be. Some say this illusion will be provided by the cabal creating an ET event scenario with a seemingly divine figurehead, in effect, a new religion. A couple churches I know of are really with this vein of thought. Just remember, frens... an evil being can present itself as the most beautiful and charismatic person you've ever seen in your entire life.
An interesting conjecture and an extremely plausible one. The mahdi is supposed to come with godlike power, iirc.
Edit Buddhist also have maitreya. Satan likes to hedge his bets.
We have a one world religion already. Every religion has been infiltrated by secret satanic orders. Even Bible seminary's have been taken over. Satan will take the worship however he can get it.
John Macarthur preached a sermon explaining how Islam's own prophecy about the end of the world contains an Islamic "messiah" who has the same description as the Beast/antichrist in Revelation. He will lead an army against the "false messiah" who is Jesus Christ.
