Not a cattle pede but I work as a butcher. Ground beef is almost 6 dollars at the store I work at. Ribeyes are 9.99 a pound. I would think the cows themselves are getting more expensive too.

So little known fact. There is a consumer price index (CPI) that many have heard of.

There is also a producer price index (PPI) and that's an interesting look.
