You assume they have an accurate objective record
I assumed nothing. I am presenting evidence that a comet did some serious damage to the world about 13,000 years ago (12,900). The report I linked was just a starting place, barely a smidge of all the evidence that supports that date (see the construction of the pyramids, numerous other archeological evidence that is dated to that time by both carbon dating and star maps, etc.). If you would like to dispute the actual evidence then please bring evidence of your own to the table.
Sometimes I think we are all just too amped up and primed to fight over everything.
You missed my entire point fren. All I meant was that this graph isn’t an objective and perfectly omniscient record of exactly what the worlds population was at any point in history. It was made by the United Nations....says it right there in the fine print.
Your assumption was in the idea that you could zoom out on this fake graph and it would show the time frame you were mentioning, and that it would be damning evidence against their narrative. The graph itself IS the narrative, and whoever made it could simply omit whatever truth they didn’t like, such as the evidence you speak of. In that case, zooming out on a fake graph would show a number consistent with their fake version of that point in time.
Anyway, this isn’t an argument. We’re on the same team.
I did miss your point, but to be fair, you provided no context for it. If you think I was being combative, I suggest you misread what I wrote.
I agree the graph as presented may have nothing to do with reality. It was less an assumption on my part, and more a "even If this is true, I bet its not true if you scroll out."
You will get no argument with me about this. Our entire history has been rewritten. Who knows what's true. I do think though that it is likely that our population is the largest it has been since what I think was a flood 13,000 years or so ago. It does take time to regrow a world after what was likely a complete devastation. Perhaps there have been other "resets" in between, but I haven't found any good evidence of that yet. At least not on the same scale.
Why do people always think debate is a bad thing? Debate is, I assert, the only path to Truth. At least when using the tools at our disposal for communication (words, etc.). Debate brings about the gestalt of many minds. On our own, we are just one link. Together, we are the chain. Debate is the forge that binds us in that endeavor for Truth.
