"Found with her non-custodial parents."
I have trouble with news articles like this. What does this even mean? Are they her biological parents? Are they people who have raised her in recent years, acting and claiming / self-identifying to be her parents? I have sympathy for biological parents who've had their children taken by authorities. But even with that, there are valid questions as to whether the child was well-served by government protection, versus stolen by government-sanctioned child trafficking. Anyway, this article brings up more questions than it answers.
I'm guessing at least one or both of those people are a biological or former adoptive parent but had lost custody. But WTH, I don't really know.
According to this article, she was found with her biological mother, father, and grandfather. The girl was released to her older sister and her "legal guardian".
Doesnt say why they lost custody of the girl. But when they did, they got her from school and took off.

Thanks. A much better article.
My default is to leave children with their parents and to be extremely suspicious of those who want to separate them. That said, I'm far removed from this case. Thanks for the link.
