As a Gen Zer, can confirm. I've only ever met 2 gay/bi/etc. people in my general age group in my entire life. And even then, one of them was a legitimately racist butthole.

Crap like this is nothing more than propaganda designed to demoralize people and make them think they're part of the minority. Notice how in these kinds of polls, they NEVER reveal where there data comes from, or very rarely do they reveal the sample size. Yeah, 40% of the 18 year old freshmen at New York State Universities liberal arts department are probably "gay". Expand that any extent outwards and you'll find that the gay, etc. population has been hanging "steady" at 1-2% of the population since they started counting it as a statistic.

Most people who openly claim to be some kind of abnormal "orientation" are just attention seeking and want to feel "special" hence why the largest portion of the rainbow brigade "identify as bi". It's an easy cop out since they can just be normal but CLAIM to not be.
