The point is you always have a choice to be good, be kind, and be just. To say "you have no free will" is to remove responsibility and culpability from your actions.

And, you can't simply nullify sin by asking forgiveness. Murdering your child is spiritually unforgivable, for example, no matter how many times you pay your tithe.
