This information was in the first paragraph of the Wikipedia page some time eago. Now it's hidden in section History and Symptoms.
They're changing it as soon as they need.
Check Wikipedia edit history. Was it added recently?
A month ago - the main/first paragraph had the following information: discovered in 1965, normal cold.
Bats are part of the COVID scamdemic story, one of their myths to claim it wasn't intentionally released. It's likely they've added it to make 229E more similar to COVID-19 so if people start to realise that most recent Omicron tests were detecting normal cold virus they will no longer see 229E as normal cold and will think ... it's COVID.
One more example how moving the main part of the Wikipedia definition to the collapsed section changes the way people read it.
