They don’t track firearms unless they are “restricted”, but there are plenty of other models of unrestricted firearms that still are available and people with firearms licenses can buy and sell among themselves as they choose. Yes magazines have a rivet blocking more than five or ten rounds from being loaded, but that does not mean you can’t buy 30-40 round mags or 100 round drum mags or whatever you want. So it’s not really like Canadians have been effectively disarmed.
