Headteachers at schools in Brighton have sparked anger from parents by cancelling the words 'mum' and 'dad' and replacing them with 'grown ups' - to avoid discriminating against 'non-traditional' families.
One parent commented: 'In trying to be more inclusive, the schools are forgetting about mum and dad, the most important people in a kid's life. This is just madness, where will it stop?'

May as well be the teachers themselves. Get a group together, 20 kids, two parents rotating independently for peace of mind. Not like you need to have any special set of skills, as proven by the current lot. I've learned more from textbooks than I ever learned from the teachers.
Hell, if you can teach children to read and do simple math, they are practically set for learning for themselves. If they don't want to self teach, they probably wouldn't be the best recipients of academic teachings anyway. Best to become a labourer or tradie and earn a decent living with your hands.
