F THE BANKS!
You'll get better interest rates on loans, better service, and lower fees. Online tech is behind but who cares? CUs are non-profits owned by their members and for that reason, they don't have to answer to wall street.

Cash. Tangible goods. I guess it makes sense for paying bills before it all falls apart.
I am honestly surprised there has not been a run on banks yet.
There has been to a degree, looking at their stock price movement.
I believe that many people are simply actually trusting that the banks will be acting in good faith. Even the bank teller I spoke with had to agree based on "we got a memo just this morning on that subject."
I just transferred my long-term savings account with a "big bank" to one of my local credit union acounts. No more big banks for me.
I’ve been thinking about this recently- and really I’ve thought of 2 options. Cash is king so maybe it’s back to the old safe deposit box in the house? OR just start buying Visa gift cards. I can stop my direct deposit- cash the check at a check cashing place & use gift cards or secure credit card to pay bills online. If the grid does go down electric payments of anything are useless - can’t even get gas at the pump and cold hard cash is needed- been through a few storms & w/out power for weeks & it’s tough- ATMs won’t work. And Idk too many supermarkets that will take gold or silver coins. I’m too young to retire so I’m considering taking $$ out of my 401k and fortifying my house to make us more self sufficient with heating & food. I’m also not going away for vacation somewhere this year- which I usually do every year- even during COVID. Instead gonna use that $$ towards more supplies. Love to brainstorm other ideas on how to subvert their system.
This is what I did, I figured no way in H were they going to get my funds 😂
Each doller deposited in saving is one share of ownership.
At least mine is that way.
They are local, member-owned, and not as regulated.
While true, the point is they are not the ones involved with all of the globalist crap we're living under. Instead your supporting you're local community.
I fear that you are right about the U.S. being next. I posted a rambling thought yesterday about our convoy unfolding here as in Canada, culminating in martial law. Would that be the precipice?
Make sure to call in advance...they gave me a pile of shit when I went in. Apparently over 1500 they request you schedule it. I still got my money after 10 minutes of bitching.
Credit unions are better but they just stay about 2 steps behind the banks. In the end they will follow banks all the way to the end.
How can they offer lower interest rates than chase?
