Pretty much. But I think faith grows like trust: it can begin with verification, or verification can come later. So I'm saying that faith can be based on evidence. I have lots of faith, but gained it after doubting like Thomas and receiving evidence.
Yes, he has said he believes in God. His rise to prominence was based more on his courage to stand up against wokeness in the form of compelled speech, feminism, cancel culture and other social movements. He went on to demonstrate intelligence and courage in the form of top-notch rhetorical skills against the media-supported champions of cancel culture and feminism, allowing for differences of opinion but never cowed nor beaten in debate. He's not perfect, but he has earned the admiration of many. Some of his debates against feminists and cancel culture promoters are very entertaining, as he lays bare their hypocrisy despite playing in their arenas.
Apologies; I was wrong. I just watched a different 20-minute video called something like "JP's transformative journey to God" at https://youtu.be/x6_ESSfyiYE. He doesn't say he believes in God; instead he backs into the logical likelihood of God, the many definitions of the word belief, and, more importantly for him, the difficulty of living a Christly life, which he tries to do. Because it's a set of subject-centered clips, and recent, I assume they'd highlight if he'd said he believed in God.
I personally think he's a poor guide to religious thought, unless you're a secular humanist. For those people he represents a good path to acknowledge and eventually return to God.
On the other hand, I admire him for his absolute adherence to intellectual honesty and self-correction, and his courage to not compromise. Those traits really stand out when he's dismantling the hypocrisy of the woke, feminist and cancel culture, and doing it in real time in the face of hostile questioning and literal emotional mobs. There's a video out there where he demolishes a UK anchor like a British Rachel Maddow, on her own show, for example. Anybody who's ever attempted to debate a leftist ideology with their constantly circling arguments and half-truths gets refreshed
Those qualities have made him an inspirational champion to many. But he can certainly sound pedantic. I get tired of him, too.
In one sense it is evidenced based as God's Word says faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. If you hear or read it, you have evidence God promised it and that is what you by faith expect. Once it happens it is evidence of the next time you put confidence and faith in God's Word. So faith is evidence based if it is based on the evidence of God's Word which are His promises to us which are so sure, that they are ours before they are seen.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
👍 on da money
And yet evidence reinforces faith.
Like theory and practice?

Over intellectualised generalisations and simplifications and not much more really.
Just about all he says here is very obvious but all he seems to talk about is existential issues with mere existence.
Does he even believe in God? I am not sure he does at all, has he ever said so? The stupid mans smart man.

Have you got a link to a video where he says this? I can't find one, but my google-fu is not the best.

Thank you and God bless you.
